Strongpoint Partners, a retirement services platform serving small and medium-sized businesses with integrated outsourced administration, actuarial, recordkeeping, payroll and human resources (HR) solutions, announced a new partnership with Des Moines, Iowa-based The Finway Group.
Led by Steve Finnegan, Finway is a national retirement services company with presence in 43 states and acts as a Pooled Plan Provider (PPP), Third Party Administrator (TPA) and 3 (16) Administrative Trustees in a suite of individualized retirement solutions. The firm currently manages more than 49 Employer Pooled Plans (PEPs) in the market.
“Steve and the team at Finway have built one of the fastest growing public figure pension platforms and 3 (16) trust services, which is an area of growing demand in our client base at Strongpoint and in the market,” said Danny Hast, CEO of Strongpoint Partners. “The team’s dedication to sponsors and plan adopters in 43 states, combined with exceptional customer retention, is testament to Finway’s culture of leadership with personalized service and demonstrated customer results. Welcoming Finway as Strongpoint’s 24th partner – and our first headquarters in Iowa – is an exciting milestone, and the Finway PEP capabilities significantly expand what we can offer plan sponsors and advisors throughout our network.”
Finnegan will continue to lead the organization as President alongside Vice President of Operations Keith Lowery and the broader Finway team.
“Joining Strongpoint Partners marks an exciting new chapter for The Finway Group,” said Finnegan. “In Strongpoint, we have found a partner who wholeheartedly shares our commitment to service excellence, technology innovation and growth. This partnership gives our team access to a coast-to-coast network of retirees, the ability to recruit talent to complement our team, the technology infrastructure for continued growth, while maintaining the high-touch, single-point-of-contract service model that our customers love and rely on.”
All 50 members of The Finway Group will remain in their current roles as part of the acquisition.
