GA Group acquires Trampe Settles
Great American Holdings, a financial services company, today acquired Trampe Settles, a family law firm based in Dallas.
Administrative Matters
Trampe Settles provides business valuation, forensic accounting, due diligence and appraisal services in disputes involving closely held business values, private equity interests, and other financial assets in the context of marital dissolution. It also offers asset monitoring and legal accounting services.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal adds four employees, plus Trampe Settles owner and CPA Brian Trampe, to the GA group’s litigation support practice.
“We have built our reputation on delivering clear, defensible investigations in complex family law matters,” Trampe said in a statement. “Partnering with GA strengthens this foundation with deep resources, enhanced technical expertise, and national platforms. Just as important, having access to the full potential of GA expands the understanding and support we can bring to each partnership, allowing us to serve our customers and their advice with greater depth, responsiveness, and rigor.”
The GA Group, based in Westlake Village, California, is majority owned by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management. It provides financial advisory, valuation, fixed asset and investment banking services.
“Bringing Brian and his team onto the GA platform is an important part of our strategy to build a full-service, comprehensive financial advisory practice,” said Curt James, chief executive officer and national leader of FAS, in a statement. “Family law matters often require a combination of technical skills, responsiveness, and judgment under tight deadlines, and Brian has built an impressive career and reputation in this important area. He combines deep technical skills with real courtroom experience, and this shows in how he supports clients and their decisions.”
