ACTEC Announces Margaret G. Lodise as New President

Washington, DC, March 12, 2026: The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) announced this today Margaret G. Lodise He will be president of ACTEC 2026–2027. Lodise is a partner at Sacks, Glazier, Franklin, Lodise, McMurtrey & Scheerer, LLP in Los Angeles, California. He has been president of ACTEC 2025–2026 Peter S. GordonPrincipal at Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, PA in Wilmington, Delaware.
“I am honored to serve as president of ACTEC and look forward to working with the Reserve Board in the coming year to advance ACTEC’s mission. Together, we will continue to advance the College’s important trust and heritage initiatives, including efforts to maintain trust and heritage issues in internal examinations, and to provide ongoing education to our members and other members on important trust and heritage issues,” said Lodis, another member of the general public.
Lodise, who has held various roles at the College since his election in 2004, was officially introduced at ACTEC’s “Passing of the Gavel” ceremony on Friday, March 6, 2026, at ACTEC’s Annual Business Meeting in Tampa, Florida. He has served on ACTEC’s Amicus Review Committee, Fiduciary Litigation Committee, Long Range Planning Committee, Professional Responsibility Committee, and Sponsor Advisory Committee.
Lodis has over 35 years of experience in estate, trust and conservatorship litigation, representing beneficiaries, trustees, conservators and fiduciaries in complex disputes and administrations. She is a past president of the Los Angeles Women’s Bar Association, and previously served as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School. Lodise from Pomona College, UCLA School of Law and LL.M. in the Loyola tax.
At ACTEC’s 2026 Annual Meeting, ACTEC’s Board of Regents elected the following 2026-2027 officers, who each serve alongside Lodise on the Executive Committee and Board of Regents:
Continuing as a member of the Executive Committee Edward Jay Beckwith (Washington, District of Columbia) and James D. Lamm (Minneapolis, Minnesota).
